Uvaaj is operated by an individual in the United Kingdom under the AXOF Studios name.
Uvaaj helps users learn languages while browsing the web. The Chrome extension replaces selected English words with words from a chosen learning language and provides pronunciation assistance. The Uvaaj website manages accounts, subscriptions and user preferences.

2. Information we collect
2.1 Account information

- Securely hashed passwords for email/password accounts

Passwords are not stored in plaintext.

- Language Guide settings
- Pronunciation settings, including selected accent
- Difficulty and frequency preferences

- Vocabulary packs and preferences required by the extension
Uvaaj cannot see the webpages you visit or the content you are viewing.
Webpage text used for word replacement and pronunciation highlighting is processed locally within your browser. The content of the webpages you visit is not sent to Uvaaj's servers for this purpose.
2.4 Billing information
We may store:
- Subscription plan
- Subscription status
- Trial dates
- Stripe customer and subscription identifiers
Payments are processed by Stripe.
Uvaaj does not store full payment card numbers or card security details.
2.5 Technical information
Our hosting and infrastructure providers may automatically process limited technical information required to operate and secure the Service, such as:
- IP address
- Browser or device information
- Request timestamps
- Security and server logs
Essential authentication or session technologies may also be used to keep users securely signed in.
We do not currently use advertising or marketing cookies.

5. Chrome extension privacy
The Uvaaj Chrome extension needs to interact with webpages so that it can identify eligible text and display language-learning replacements.
Page content used for this functionality is processed locally within your browser.
The extension may store information locally on your device, including:
- Authentication information
- Learning preferences
- Cached vocabulary
- Extension settings
The extension communicates with Uvaaj's servers when required to sign in, verify account access, sync preferences and download vocabulary.
Uvaaj does not receive or store the full content of webpages you browse.
Local extension information can be removed by signing out, clearing extension data or uninstalling the extension, where applicable.
6. Google sign-in
If you choose Continue with Google, Google authenticates your account and may provide us with basic profile information such as:
- Email address
- Name
- Profile image
We use this information only to create, identify and sign you into your Uvaaj account.
You can choose to use email and password instead.
Google processes information according to its own Privacy Policy.
7. Payments
Subscriptions and payments are processed by Stripe.
Stripe may collect payment method, billing and transaction information directly from you.
Uvaaj receives only the information required to manage your subscription and determine your access to paid features.

8. Service providers
We use third-party providers where necessary to operate Uvaaj, including:
- Vercel – website hosting and infrastructure
- Neon – database infrastructure
- Stripe – subscription and payment processing
- Google – Google sign-in, where selected by the user
These providers may process limited personal information on our behalf where necessary to provide their services.
We may also disclose information where required by law, regulation, court order or where reasonably necessary to protect Uvaaj, our users or others.
We do not sell personal information to third parties.
9. Data retention
We aim to keep personal information only for as long as it is needed.
- Account and profile data: deleted when you delete your account, unless information must legally be retained.
- Learning preferences: deleted with your account when no longer required.
- Extension installation and activity information: retained only while required to operate or understand active use of the extension, after which it is deleted or anonymised.
- Technical and security information: retained only for as long as reasonably required for security, troubleshooting or abuse prevention.
- Billing and transaction records: may be retained for longer where required by tax, accounting or other legal obligations.
Deleting an account does not require us to delete information that we are legally required to retain.
10. Account deletion
You can delete your Uvaaj account through the account features provided within the Service.
Deleting your account removes associated personal account information except where limited information must be retained for legal, financial, security or regulatory purposes.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal information.
These include measures such as:
- HTTPS encryption
- Secure password hashing
- Authentication controls
- Restricted administrative access
No online service can guarantee absolute security.
